KELLY from page 257 of "The History of Benton County, Iowa" 1988, I find under the heading "The Kellers" the following: "John W. {KELLY} (1832), Justice of the Peace, Irving, (1859) married Melinda who died May 16, 1865, buried Goulding Cemetery, Luzerne." My question is where is the "Goulding" Cemetery around Luzerne? Is it called something else? Thanks

Looking for someone who could do research in Benton County for any information on Charles William GIBBS born in 1844/1845. Any recommendations and costs that would be involved? Will provide more information if I can find someone. Thank you.

I am trying to find anything that gives proof of my grandfather, EDWARD MELVILLE SPENCER's birth date. My information is as follows; EDWARD MELVILLE SPENCER born Dec. 22, 1881 in Benton County, Iowa. His parents were, ASHBEL DEAN SPENCER and EMMA ELIZARINE EWING. I have contacted both the county and state but they have no record. Maybe a record of baptism, but I don't know what church it would be. The family is listed in Vinton, Benton Co. Iowa. Thanks to anyone who could help.

The information on the reverse side of Lucy MARKHAM's cemetery marker in the East Eden Cemetery is incorrect. One of her son's name is misspelled. His name should be spelled Wheeler not Wheller; also, her son, Alfred MARKHAM served in the Civil War with the MA 49, however, he survived the war. Alfred was my second great-grandfather. Is there any way this information can be corrected?
(admin note: there is a picture of the reverse side on the Find A Grave memorial for Lucy Markham)
