I need to learn the spouses of Martha, Scyntha, Priscilla, and Mary Ellen. I do know Sarah married Henry W. VAN DIKE in Benton Co., in 1858; Lettice m. William ROSEBRUGH; and William's son, Calvin C. ASHBY, married the daughter of Clarence E. ANTRIM and was living in Belle Plaine in 1920. I would appreciate any help or clue anyone can provide. Thanks!

I'm looking for information on the LIKENS family. I have an extensive list of historical birth/death/marriage/baptism dates that have led me to discover much about my family. My great-grandmother is Winnefred Belle LIKENS (born 18 Nov 1884). She was the daughter of Byron and Florence LIKENS, and had 2 sisters, Mabel and Geneva. Her father and his 2 brothers (Darwin and Ira) were baptized in Polk Township (Benton County) in the 1860/70's. Other sketchy details place the family in the Vinton area. However, references to the family in more recent letters and papers suggest that her family name was LUX. I am wondering why/when this name change occurred.

Can anyone tell me who the parents were of Calvin Pearl TITUS? He was born in Benton Co. , IA ca. 1879, a Lieut. Col in the US Army and was awarded the Medal of Honor during the Boxer Rebellion in China, when, as a young bugler, he led his regiment over the wall of the Forbidden City of Peking. I am trying to tie him into one of the main TITUS lines. He is mentioned in The History of Benton Co. (Luther B. Hill, editor. 1910), but I am unable to get a copy.
