My ggg grandparents Reuben and Catherine SCOTT are listed in the 1870 census as living in Belle Plaine, in Benton County. Their oldest child, Foster SCOTT, my gg grandfather, is listed with them. The family was in the Marion County, Indiana, census in 1860, and Foster SCOTT was back in Marion County by the late 1880s. I don't know what happened to Reuben and Catherine after 1870. Any information that could be provided in regard to this family would be greatly appreciated.

DYER, Worthington came to Vinton in 1854 and married Mary ? about 1862. They had a daughter, Fanny in 1864. Worthington was a teamster. Fanny was raised by her aunt Phidelia DYER ELLIS in Libertyville, Il. after her mother Mary died in the early 1870's. Worthington is on the 1885 census, living in Vinton as a widow. I would like to know more about the family and especially when Worthington died and where he is buried.
