I am looking for the date/year that the bridge over the Cedar River between Shellsburg and Urbana was built. In the 1870 census of Vinton, it shows a lot of "bridge builders" listed. Also, what was the year of the flood that washed away Benton City?

Can someone tell info on Evergreen Cemetery? I have Joshua DENMAN buried there in 1932,there are other Denman's buried there so he might be also. Thank you for any help anyone can give me.

Direct descendant of Alvin and Hannah CLARK, seeking other researchers. They migrated from Oswego Co., NY, by 1856, and lived in Vinton, IA, unti their respective deaths in 1899 and 1892. Children were William, born 1842, Amelia, born 1844, Maryetta born 1846, Cisilla, born 1847, Caroline born 1850 and Caddie born 1863.

SUMNER James Monroe Sumner moved to Garrison in 1872,from Dodge County Minnesota. The first dwelling in Dodge County Minnesota was built for him in a village called Sumners Grove. He only lived in Garrison for one year. Is there an obit or any information there in Benton Co, as we are celebrating a Sesquicentinial here.
