Searching information about John Q DETWILER, in Vinton area from about 1856 - 1870. Wife Nancy Wade, first son Zenas, who fought in Civil War. John usually identified as temperance lecturer. I am still looking for information on the BURKHARDT and RICHARD(S) families. Samuel RICHARD(S) married Sybilla HERRING in Pennsylvania and moved to Iowa in 1851. Need death dates, burial sites, obits and any info on that family. Info on their son Charles b 22 Sep 1839 in Pennsylvania would be wonderful, too. RICHARD(S)was formerly REICHERT.

Also, need obit (any info actually) for Margaretha Elizabeth BURKHARDT, maiden name unknown. She was born in Germany 21 Jan 1806 and died on 20 July 1888, probably in Benton County. Daughter of this Margaretha was another Margaretha who married Christof KERN. Are there any stories in the KERN family concerning a guitar?
