WEATHERWAX - Benton County (1870-1964. Looking for information on my great-grandparents, Hendricks Aker & Evelyn M. (HANOVER) Weatherwax. They lived in the Oak Grove church area (Benton Township). Evelyn may have been a teacher at Upper Stone School. I am told that the 10 room house that Hendrick's build burned down in a fire several years ago. Any information on that? They had 3 children: Asa Roy & Archie Ray (twins, born 23 Sept. 1888) and a daughter Ruth (Born? Died?). Ruth married Roy SIRES (daughter, Ethel), and Wilbur MATHER (son, Samuel Roy; daughter, Eula). Ruth may be buried in Urbana/Benton County.

My great grandfather, Joseph Knupp FIKE was born in 1861 in Benton County, IA. He moved west to KS to follow a couple of older brothers after his father died in 1873. His father's name was Tobias FIKE and his mother's name was Sally KNUPP FIKE. I would like to know if Sally KNUPP FIKE remarried and who that person was, what year, etc. and if any children were born into that marriage.
