I am also looking for an obituary for Aura L. JONES WEAN. She was the daughter of D.A. JONES and she married Horace L. WEAN Dec 5th 1883 in Benton Co. She was born Oct 1860 in Iowa and died before the 1920 census of Iowa. I believe her and her husband lived in Van Horne most of their married life.

Seeking information on A. PORTER who was listed as head of household in Cedar Twp Benton County Iowa year 1900 He was listed as having been born Dec 1857 in Ohio. His wife was Rose Porter born Sept 1863 in Iowa. Is it possible that A. PORTER be Andrew Jefferson PORTER who was born abt 1858 in Lawrence County Ohio? Could he have been the son of John H. and Cynthia BRAMMER PORTER? Any information would be helpful.

Looking for information on Jesse RUIC/RUICK/REWICK who traveled from Gramby, Ct on a wagon train and died in Benton Co Jan 14, 1856. I am trying to locate his grave and his wife's grave. She was Marietta Beach Ruick. They both diedof typhoid fever. Thanks for any help.

HAVENS, BERRY, USHER My grandfather, Fred M BERRY, was born in Palo, Iowa in 1874 to Harrison and Henrietta (HAVENS) BERRY. I am searching for information on Henrietta's parents, Ransom HAVENS and Olive USHER. They were in Clinton Township, Linn County in 1860 and in Benton Township, Benton County in 1870. I am attempting to discover the identity of Ransom HAVEN's parents and siblings. Also searching for information about the death/burial of Henrietta HAVENS BERRY who supposedly died 1876-1880 when a tree fell on her. She and her husband Harrison BERRY were in/around Linn & Benton County about 1860-1880.

My name is David BARNOSKE, son of Kenneth HAPPEL. Kenneth HAPPEL is the son of Carl HAPPEL and Bessie Mae BARNOSKE maried in 1923. Carl HAPPEL is the son of George and Rosa HAPPEL all of Atkins. Carl disappeared in late 1923. I am trying to find any information I can on Carl HAPPEL. I am also looking for the birth certificate of Kenneth. Family claims it was destroyed in a fire. I am looking for info on Herman ELLGEN (ILLGEN)who was born 3 Nov 1846 in Algenburg, Dresden, Saxony, Germany,and married Elizabeth BILANG who was born 12 Feb 1844 in Utendorf, Bern, Switzerland, on 13 April 1869 in Vinton, Benton, Iowa. Herman died 14 April 1929 in Carpenter, Mitchell, Iowa and was buried 14 April 1929 in Northwood, Worth, Iowa. Elizabeth died 8 Jan 1925 in Carpenter, Mitchell, Iowa. Child #1 was Emma born 24 April 1870 in Newhall, Benton, Iowa, and children 2-8 were born in Bolan, Worth, Iowa.

LOHR Margaret KUHN Lohr (b. 1874 Centre Co. PA, married x LOHR in PA?). Appears in Belle Plaine, IA in 1930 census with son Paul LOHR (b.ca. 1892 PA) and two daughters, Flora (b. 1915 IA) and Fern (b. 1917 IA).
