WIESE, WIGGIN posted by Roger D. Ferguson WIESE. Still looking for information on my grandmother Catherine Wiese. Born 1864 near Hamburg, Germany. Imigrated to near Mt. Auburn in 1872 at age 8. Parents unknown but new information indicates possible siblings named Claus, Henry, Margaret (Wiggin) and Peter and that all or most lived in Waterloo, IA in the early 1920s. Margaret (Wiese) Wiggin was thought to have worked at "Blacks Department Store" then. My grandmother Catherine married Charles Fredrick Jacobs in Vinton in early 1894 and they moved to Tama County, Crystal Twsp. immediately after marriage and are shown as living there in the US 1900 Census for Tama Co. Any information would be GREATLY appreciated.
