A Word From The Committee

        The committee wishes to thank the many people who wrote these church stories and shared their pictures. We believe we have a bit of Louisa County history that you will enjoy reading and rereading.
        Many people have assisted with this project, but we extend a special note of appreciation to Ed Bayne for his writing and photography skills – we thank you Ed for your extra help.
        "Churches of Louisa County" is a companion book to "Rural Schools of Louisa County”. Both of these books are available at the Louisa County Historical Society Museum, Wapello, Iowa.
        Jessie Foster Torode and Irene McDill started compiling church history in the 1960’s. It has been a long process getting this book published, but we think it has been worth the wait.
