COME VISIT our Museum with Genealogy Library, One-Room County School House and Country Church.

Special exhibits include Native Amerian Artifacts, a Salute to our Armed Forces, Toy Room, Grandma's Bedroom
& Photo Collection of People and Places in Louisa County.
Group Tours may be arranged. Admission is free, however donations are appreciated.

The facilities include the Louisa Stage and a dining room which is available to rent for gatherings.
The Country Church is also available for special events and weddings.

The purpose of the Louisa County Historical Society shall be to discover, collect and preserve, and disseminate the history and cultures of the County of Louisa in eastern Iowa.

SCHEDULE OF SPECIAL EVENTS 2022

March Musuem Opens for the Season Tues., March 1st 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
March Annual Soup Supper - Free offering for soup supper which will consist of chili, vegetable beef or chicken noodle along with carrots, celery pickles, and desert. Carry out soup available.
Do you have an antique item that you don't know what it is, or what value for item? Several experts will be here to help visitors identify antiques and collectables. You can bring up to two items of identification for a fee of $5.00 for the two items. Bring an item from a general line of antiques such as purses, stoneware, quilts, hand tools, kitchen utensils etc. that you wondered about!
