I am attempting to locate (simply for geneology purposes) the birth parents of my paternal grandfather. His name was John Hinshaw, born on May 7. Birth years have varied on documents ranging from 1891-1893. He was adopted by Benjamin Franklin Hinshaw and wife Margaret (Ratliff). They also adopted another son, Clarence.

I belong to Ancestry.com and that is my primary search data base, but not seeing any adoption certificates yet.

If you have any info or suggestions for further search, pls adv.
