A few more bits of information. And Tracy's Dad (my mom's half brother's name was Kenneth Hurst (Beatrice married Russell Hurst) and they had Kenny but Russell died young in a car accident if I remember right. Kenny has since passed away but when he and mom were together it was eerie how many of the same mannerisms they had. He definitely fully accepted mom as his half sister due to there similarities and the book...it all just fit. The question is...if that part of the story my moms adopted mom told us is true, she is the one that also said the dad was a Vonderhaar and Beatrice was governess for his children to help pay Virginia's way through school so she could be a nun???

Virginia was in St. Frances Home for nuns in a small town in Iowa. Tracy probably knows which town.
