I looked on ancestry at censuss records and city directories. rev. martin j. diamond 36 years old in 1935 is a catholic priest at a county parish.
olive meade in 1934 is a nurse at mercy hospital
there is a james f. meade who was a farmer in hardin twp with wife jane in 1930 and works at a lab (which could be a lab at mercy it didn't say where he worked at a lab) he was 65 years old and in 1940 james is a widow and retired.
haven't found out anything about unwed mothers home unless the stayed at Mercy hospital with catholic nuns in 1934.
do you know anything about the father. I had found beatrice in ft. madison before baby and in peoria illinois in 1939.
