just came back from recorders office again to see if I could see through the paper covering the names but from what I could see town didn't look like ft. madison for the father and the what little I could see the fathers name didn't look long enough to be vonderhaal. but in your email just now you mentioned it wasn't recorded until feb. 1934 so next weeek I'll go back and look through feb. I only looked at the date around jan 5 1934. being a genealogist I should have known better to look a month of so past your mom's birthdate.
their was a richard vonderhaal but he was 15 which could be why they sent beatrice to IC since richard was 15. if father had been in twenties like your grandmother why wouldn't they have gotten married?????I'm going to email ft.madison library and have them look in the 1932 and 33 city directory to see if beatrice is there and her profession and address and if any vonderhaar's had the same address
