can you tell me why you think your mother was born at mercy hospital in iowa city. does she have a birth cert. or etc. I was just at the recorders office hoping I could find your mothers birth cert. after jan. 9 1934 there are three births that have been covered up (usually because mother wasn't married) I could see that of these births had a father listed and at least one if not two of these births took place at the sui hospital. the third birth I could not read anything through the paper they used to cover them up. the cert. numbers of these three births were 78, 85 and 97. I did find that beatrice was living in 1939 in eoria illinois as a waitress.
