I only know about Leland's adoptive parents - who are my grandparents. My grandmother took her nurse's training at what was then the Moline Public Hospital. I am thinking that she met someone at that time that she kept in contact with that helped her with the adoption of my uncle later. She graduated in like 1906 or 1908 and practiced nursing unti her marriage in 1920 - but I don't know where for sure. She did get married in
Webster County. Her husband was a farmer ithete.
