Nice job! I am impressed with your research skills. This is what we were told by my mom's adopted mother as that is what she was told.
The father's name she had was Ronald Vonderhaar. Supposedly Beatrice worked for his family as a governess and became pregnant by him. So was moved off to have her baby elsewhere and even took on a different name (Margaret Nelson).
The Vonderhaars were supposedly a prominent family and this wasn't something they wanted. I did some research with my cousin and found that Beatrice's parents had passed away and she and her siblings all lived together in one house and her elder brother(s) were raising them. According to census records we found, a Vonderhaar family with young children lived on the street right behind the Millmeyer family so that could be the connection. We did not find the name Ronald though but that could have been ficticious?
