I spoke to the president of the Wapello county genealogical society and she told me the members had spent two years indexing the records before turning them over to be copied. After copying the society here in Wapello county and the main branch in DesMoines will both have copies of the film. It was her understanding they were being copied in Colorado but she was not certain of that. She stated it is an inconvenience having them out of Ottumwa now but that it will be worth it in the long run.
