Thank you Linda. I don't have an e-mail address for the Wapello Genealogical Society or I'd have e-mailed them long ago. I guess I could have used snail mail but I was hoping someone in Ottumwa or Wapello County would contact them for information (which is what you are going to do).
I look forward to seeing the response you receive. You are correct that the WGS may have information that we are not aware of or they may not even be involved.
