This site is hosted by Linda Ziemann. I was raised at Seney, Plymouth County, IA. My paternal grandparents and their parents were early pioneers in Elgin Township. Don't miss "A Gift of Memories From Grandma" now posted on this site. This was handwritten by Linda's maternal Grandma, of Plymouth County.

Plymouth Co. now has an assistant county coordinator, Mary Holub, of LeMars, Iowa. I want to "thank" Mary for her incredible leadership ability--Mary is currently in the process of documenting & photographing the county cemeteries!! Way to Go!

"Just wanted to say I really like your site.  Very impressed with the link to Family Photos.  That is such a wonderful idea.  Wish more people would contribute or that all sites would have that sort of a link.  I  love all the old photos and the ones of my family members are my pride and joy. Thank you, I know it is a lot of work." ~FP

Share your Plymouth County ancestor's stories here! Many of our relatives wrote out their memories for the next generation to read. These were probably never published, except into the hearts of their children and grandchildren. Perhaps your ancestor was interviewed. Email their bios or interviews to Linda and I will see that their stories are preserved for all Plymouth County researchers. Be sure to include the author's name and the date when written, if known. Thanks!
