THE JOHN SOLOMON MOSBARGER FAMILY

John Solomon MOSBARGER was born October 18, 1879, Lincoln, Harrison County, Missouri, the son of John W. and Eliza Melissa (WILLEY) MOSBARGER. John married on February 22, 1901, Kellerton, Ringgold County, Iowa, to Sarah Vienna VOGAN. John Solomon MOSBARGER died July 7, 1963, Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa.

Sarah Vienna (VOGAN) MOSBARGER was born in Kellerton, Ringgold County, Iowa, on February 21, 1881, the daughter of George Wesley and Martha E. (McCARTNEY) VOGAN. Sarah died on May 31, 1962, at Leon, Decatur County, Iowa.

Sarah Vienna (VOGAN) and John Solomon MOSBARGER were interred
at Maple Row Cemetery, Kellerton, Ringgold County, Iowa.

Children of JOHN SOLOMON and SARAH VIENNA (VOGAN) MOSBARGER

1) Elmer "Roscoe" MOSBARGER, oldest child of John Solomon and Sarah Vienna (VOGAN) MOSBARGER, was born in Kellerton, Ringgold County, Iowa, on January 9, 1902. Roscoe died on July 25, 1975, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa.

 

  2) Mildred Elizabeth MOSBARGER, pictured below right, the second child of John Solomon and Sarah Vienna (VOGAN) MOSBARGER, was born on June 11, 1903, in Kellerton, Ringgold COunty, Iowa, and died on April 17, 1998, in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska. Mildred married first on June 30, 1921, Greenfield, Adair County, Iowa, to Albert Rex CLANTON; and married second to Henry DAVENPORT.

 

  3) Addie Marie MOSBARGER, pictured at right, the third child of John Solomon and Sarah Vienna (VOGAN) MOSBARGER, was born on April 3, 1905, at St. Joseph, Buchanan County, Missouri, and died April 6, 1988, Seattle, King County, Washington. Addie was married in Seattle on September 16, 1949 to William RHODES.

 

  4) George Wallace MOSBARGER, the fourth child of John Solomon and Sarah Vienna (VOGAN) MOSBARGER, was born on October 25, 1910 in Hiawatha, Brown County, Kansas, and died December 4, 1971, in Bettendorf, Iowa, with interment at Maple Row Cemetery, Kellerton, Ringgold County, Iowa. George married on November 4, 1927, in Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa to Lois May COMBS.

 

  5) Beatrice E. MOSBARGER, the youngest child of John Solomon and Sarah Vienna (VOGAN) MOSBARGER, was born in Kellerton, Iowa, on November 28, 1913, and died on March 8, 1915, Kellerton, Ringgold County, Iowa, with interment at Maple Row Cemetery, Kellerton, Iowa.
