    Married.- On the evening of May 28th, at the home of the brides father, Thos Bare  Esq., 6 miles North of Drakesville, by Rev R B Allender, Rev C W Shepherd and Miss Sarah M Bare.

     Holt, the auctioneer, is the happy parent of a Ten pound babe.

     Dr Fulkerson and daughter, old residents of this place, but at present live in California, returned to Bloomfield, Thursday Evening last, on a visit to their old friends and acquaintances. Years ago the Dr kept the Wilson House and will be remembered by our old Settlers as one of the most genial landlords that ever kept hotel.

    There will be a meeting of the soldiers who were in the Mexican war, on the 3rd Saturday in June, at Kirksville, to discuss measures relating to their interests. As a bill is pending before congress to give pensions to all surviving soldiers of that war.
