GRAND VALLEY COMMUNITY SCHOOL

NEVER SAY GOODBYE

It was thirty odd years ago
That two small towns as one became;
They formed a brand new school district,
And Grand Valley became her name.

Now, as the years have come and gone,
She has become a special part
Of all who through her halls have passed.
They learned to love her from the heart.

She watched 'or those within her walls;
She smiled and shared with each their joy;
Tears fell when she saw their sorrows;
Oh, how she loved each girl and boy!

She watched as they did their lessons;
What fun to learn to read and write!
What a challenge they found their math!
They grew 'neath the purple and white.

She taught them about Tiger Pride;
She cheered at each game that they won,
And when victory was not to be,
She knew their work had just begun.

The time has come to say goodbye,
Though the years have gone so swiftly.
We now each go our separate way,
No more a part of Grand Valley.

We know new friends will soon be made
As we each go our separate way,
And new schools will become our home.
But in our hearts we'll truly say:

NEVER SAY GOODBYE
TO GRAND VALLEY HIGH
