GRAND VALLEY COMMUNITY SCHOOL, 1970-71
Dedication
In these changing times, the scholastic, athletics, and social activities of our high school play a very
important role in the development of each individual student. Throughout our education, we are growing with our friends,
and witnessing the changes in the schools around us.The goal of any annual is to tell the story of one school year.
With the realization in mind that the students make a school what it is, we dedicate the 1971 TIGER MEMORIES to you,
the student body of Grand Valley Community School.

Farewell to Grand Valley High
To the school that first instilled in us an appreciation of common man's rights and liberties of
living, we the graduating class of 1971, express our sincere gratitude. As we approach the threshold of a graduation
which will, for many of us, sever old connections and be the birth of new ones, we are moved to say a fervent "Thank
You: to everyone who had had a part in making our high school career happy and successful. To our parents, to whom this event
means a crowning of long years of sacrifice, to the faculty, who have shown great cooperation and patience, and to the
Grand Valley School Board, who have made our school a better place for us, we wish to say that we are extremely grateful
for your hearty and continuous attempt to teach us a beautiful philosophy of living. To many of us the education we
have obtained will be our only capital in beginning life; and for whatever wealth and honor we may hereafter acquire in the
world, we shall be largely indebted to our school for the means of success. Another year of our school life is finished,
but it shall never be forgotten. The events of this year and of the past school years will be remembered and recalled
with pleasure, perhaps with pride, when we have passed far down into the vale of years. The little incidents, which seem
hardly worth the telling today, will possess deeper interest, and will linger fondly in our imaginations. Yesterday
with its trials and its triumphs will be regarded as an epoch in the career of some of us, as a time worth remembering for all of
us.
We'll take one more look around, and then quietly say farewell to Grand Valley High.
