Cass | Cass | 41.791 | -91.258 | View Map | A half-acre of land near Shawver Cemetery is seen on 1872 and 1885 atlases. In 1864 the tract of land was dedicated to the public for a cemetery. In 1898 the cemetery was declared abandoned. Court records say that all bodies of people who had been inerred there had been moved to another cemetery. Shawver Cemetery is the most likely for such reinterments. |
