December 19, 2017:Added transcription of World War I Honor Roll from State Historical Society records.

December 14, 2017:  Added 1909-June 1921 Birth Certificate Index for Cass County courtesy of the State Historical Society of Iowa.

December 10, 2017: Added additional photos contributed by Carl Malone to the Family Photos section, including Cecil and Dorothy Malone, Zelma Wardrip, Joseph and Maria Karwal and Albert T. Harris.

December 6, 2017: Added transcriptions of remaining 3 chapters from "The Browning Club Cook Book" circa 1913: Cakes, Desserts & Ices, and Puddings.

November 29, 2017: Added transcription of one additional chapter from "The Browning Club Cook Book" circa 1913: Cookies and Doughnuts. Also, the Women's Clubs section from the 1913 Industrial Edition history book is now completely transcribed, and includes selections on The Priscilla Club, The M. C. P. Music Club, The Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle, The O. O. P. Club, The Ladies Literary Club, The Browning Literary Club, Chapter AF P. E. O. Sisterhood, and The St. Cecilian Club.

November 22, 2017: Added transcriptions of three additional chapters from "The Browning Club Cook Book" circa 1913: Pickles, Icing, and Candy.

November 21, 2017: Added transcriptions of three additional chapters from "The Browning Club Cook Book" circa 1913: Bread, Vegetables and Salads. Also added transcription of Cass Township entries from the 1917 Farmer's Directory.

November 18, 2017: Added transcriptions of six chapters from The Browning Club Cook Book, published by The Browning Literary Club of Atlantic circa 1913. Need a recipe for turkey dressing? Be sure to check out the the Meats chapter! Coffee? Turkish Coffee was being made over a brisk fire long before automatic coffee makers were invented! More info about the The Browning Literary Club is found in the 1913 Industrial Edition.

November 8, 2017: Replaced the 1917 Farmer's Directory images with scans of the original Farmer's Directory pages and maps. For many years images of a transcribed directory index for each township have been online at Cass IAGenWeb, but these only contained part of the information provided in the directory. Original images for Washington Township and a complete Washington Twp. transcription were added in August, 2015. Now complete original directory images are online for ALL townships, and transcriptions of the remaining townships will be coming in the future.

November 3, 2017: Added transcription of Noble Township from the 1906 Compendium of History and Biography.

November 1, 2017: Added transcription of an account of the Jim Creek Flood of 1858, which claimed the lives of six Franklin Township residents. Many thanks to Eileen Reed for this transcription!

October 30, 2017: Added transcription of Bear Grove Township from the 1906 Compendium of History and Biography.

October 29, 2017: Added transcriptions of Victoria Township and Washington Township from the 1906 Compendium of History and Biography.

October 27, 2017: Added transcription of the 1856 Census for Edna Township.

October 22, 2017: Added July 1904-June 1906 Birth Certificate Index for Cass County courtesy of the State Historical Society of Iowa. From July 1904 to June 1906 state law required that birth certificates be filed with the State Department of Health and not with the counties. These handwritten records have been transcribed by the State Historical Society of Iowa, which has granted IAGenWeb permission to post them. Also added the complete Cass County section from The Courts and Legal Profession (1907), which contains biographies of 6 early Cass County lawyers .

October 12, 2017: Added photo postcard of four Atlantic Residences circa 1913: O. S. Mullins, D. E. Shranger, E. S. Harlan and J. G. Herring.

September 24, 2017: Added transcription of Atlantic High Alumni 1878-1945.
