Hi,
Here are some tidbits you might enjoy reading.

According to a 1909 Olin Recorder, "?H. Rummel, who has just closed a very successful year as principal of the Lamote schools arrived in town the first of the week for a visit at the home of his father, Josiah Rummel."
and
"Lowell Jeffries, of Des Moines, arrived in town the first of the week to visit his mother, Mrs. Josiah Rummel and other friends for a few days."
The Rummel's are also included among the names of the guests who were at Samuel Holden and wife's anniversary party in Olin, Iowa; and what/how much was given. The article I have was a reprint in the Olin Recorder. The article was originally in an earlier edition in an Olin newspaper--date unknown.
"D.E. Rummel gave $1", "A. Rummel," Mrs. M. Rummel, George P. Rummel, and Josiah Rummel all gave 25 cents. The gifts from all guests totaled $6.00. Some of my relatives were also included as guests.
