Dear Roxie:
Just had a brain storm. Bill Rathbun who is our county website coordinator did the whole year l882 of newspaper articles, and you need to ask him if there is any Perlee coal mine accident or the name William Basford/Bassford in any of the things he listed. He is billrath@iowatelecom.net
Hopefully he will answer.

PS Please send me your snail mail address so I can put it on the Basford and the Campbell family sheets I am tucking in the file drawers at the library. emails change, oftener than snail mails?? Verda
