Alexander and Elizabeth are listed in the 1870 Federal Census for the US. Living with them were children Jane, William, and Edward. The value of their real estate was $1000. Slexander also appears in the 1885 Iowa Census with Elizabeth and William. Alexander is listed as being a laborer, while William is listed as a farmer. It is from the Township Census of Marengo Township.
