Senior Class Prophecy
In 1979 the class of '59 from Tingley High School met at Tingley, the largest city in the world, for their annual picnic. The meeting place was the back yard of Doctor Melvin RICHARDS' estate. He has discovered the killer for the common cold.
The first couple greeted on the veranda by our host is Kenneth and Helen CLYMER and their four children. Kenny is now manager of a large manufacturing plant on the moon.
By the large swimming pool Dr. RICHARDS ran into Mr. and Mrs. Glen TULL and their two sets of twins. Mrs. TULL is the former Betty HILL. Mrs. and Mrs. TULL are the owners of a chain of hotels that are as well known as the Hilton Hotels.
As our host leisurely strolled along the edge of the pool, he spotted some people swimming. He inquired and found it to be Jon and Janetta O'NEAL. Jon told Dr. RICHARDS that they were practicing for the Olympic meet next month. Jon and his wife have won world recognition as swimming champions.
Our host and some of his classmates strolled over to the punch bowl where they met Mr. and Mrs. Sydney SICKELS and their six children. Mrs. SICKELS is the former Rita MILLER. While talking to Mr. and Mrs. SICKELS they told the group that they were owners of a large turkey ranch in Southern Iowa.
Unfortunately two of our former classmates could not attend. Don and Larry are out in space trying to locate a satellite which had gone astray with valuable instruments on board. They sent a radiogram giving their regrets. They are the two top-space explorers of the country today.
Here comes Ruth GROUT and Dick BAKER. Dick is the most eligible bachelor and Ruth has her sights trained on him.
Some of the members of the class were flown to this picnic by the compliments of Doris GILES who now owns one of the largest airlines in the world. Here comes Doris now.
Our late comer to the party is Norma SUTHERLAND who is now the private secretary of John Bears Fur Tiptoe, the multibillionaire. Each week she gives out one million dollars, tax free.
With everyone accounted for it is time to leave. The plane is ready for the take-off. So, I guess, this is, "So long," until our next annual picnic.
Senior Class Will
We have assembled here today, my friends, so you, the rightful heirs of the Class of 1959 of Tingley High School may hear our last Will and Testament; which I, as her legal adviser, have drawn up.
We, the Class of 1959, being of sound mind and legal age hereby make this our last Will and Testament.
And now we dispose of our valuable possessions.
I, Doris, do will and bequeath my seat to anyone who wants to sit that close to the front.
We, the senior boys, do will and bequeath our Charles Atlas frames to the freshmen boys.
I, Don, do will and bequeath my ability to confuse Mrs. Anderson to Jerry JOBE.
I, Jon, do will and bequeath my old girl friends to anyone who doesn't have one.
I, Norma, do will and bequeath nothing to anyone because I will need everything I have in the future.
We, Betty and Rita, do will and bequeath, our last names to anyone who wants them, as we won't be needing them any more.
I, Melvin, do will and bequeath my ability to be at the head of things to Dennis PETERSOHN.
I, Ruth, do will and bequeath my quietness to Violet SCOTT, who will need it in the future.
I, Kenny, do will and bequeath my ability to get and keep a woman to Dean REYNOLDS.
I, Larry, do will and bequeath my ability to flirt with girls to Bob BAKER.
I, Dick, do will and bequeath my ability to keep out of trouble to Mike ARCHIBOLD.
And so ends the Last Will and Testament of the Class of '59.
