Mount Ayr Class of 1950 Reunion
The Mount Ayr high school Class of 1950 held their 55th reunion on Friday, May 27, 2005 at Smith Sports & Spirits in
Mount Ayr with 15 class members present. Algie LINK welcomed the class and Gene ZINN gave the invocation, followed by
a delicious meal. A short business meeting was held with introduction of class members and letters read from Mrs.
Paul (Edith NICHOLS) WALKER of Chattanooga, TN and Dean and Mary Jane STUCK of Sun City, AZ. The rest of the evening was
spent visiting and taking pictures. Those in attendance were Bill and Norma (RICE) MERCER of Creston; Clair "Skip"
and Donna (HIGHTSHOE) EASON of Waukee; Harold and Phyllis (TYSON) COOPER of Kellerton; Robert and Rose (DRAKE)
FINDLEY of Savannah, MO; Phyllis (JOHNSTON) BUTLER of Indianola; Gene and Muriel ZINN of Simpson, IL; Lloyd and Loree DREDGE
of Park City, KS; David and Gerry (O'DELL) THURSTON of Topeka, KS; Doris TODD, Joe JACKSON, Bob and Verna MARTIN, Carl
and Jessie (WARD) WOOLLUMS, Bill and Virginia REES and Algie and Loraine LINK of Mount Ayr. The class had one teacher
as their guest, Mrs. Ruth (WYATT) FURMAN and husband, Don, of Ames. Another teacher, Mrs. Grace (McCAUSLIN) MOSER and
husband, Henry, visited prior to the meal. The class decided to have another reunion next year on May 26, 2006.
The committee will be Gene ZINN, Jessie WOOLLUMS and Bill REES.

Mount Ayr Class of 1950
The Mount Ayr 1950 class reunion was held Friday evening at Iowa Roadhouse. Those who gathered to enjoy a bountiful
buffet were Phyllis BUTLER and Al CRONIN of Indianola and Mesa, AZ; Skip and Donna EASON of Waukee; Doris TODD of
Tingley; and Bob and Verna MARTIN, Bill REES, Algie and Loraine LINK, Jessie WOOLLUMS and Joe JACKSON of Mount Ayr.
The decision was made to celebrate their 60th reunion on Saturday evening at the annual school reunion held on Memorial
Day weekend at the Mount Ayr high school.
