Members of the Mount Ayr Community High School bands had another great year, receiving Division I ratings at state marching contest, jazz band contest and concert band contest. This is the first time in 10 years that all of the bands received Is during contest. Greg STORHOFF directs the high school band program.

Three Mount Ayr Community High School entries received Division I ratings at the state solo and ensemble contest. Landi McFARLAND (right) received a Division I rating for her soprano sax solo and alto sax solo. McFARLAND and Holly MEESTER (left) received a Division I rating for ther woodwind duet.

Mount Ayr Community High School concert choir received a Division II rating at large group contest this year due to the short length of the piece. Members of the concert choir include:
