Raiderettes bring home Pride of Iowa championship
The Raiderettes competed in the Pride of Iowa Championship track meet and came out as the champions, scoring 148 points for first place and Nodaway Valley came in second with 73 points.

"It was a great night for the Raiderettes," said coach Deb Larsen. "The team came to compete and capture the title. We had many girls with great performances. It was a total team effort. Thank you to everyone that came to support the team. We as coaches are so proud of the way this team shows up to compete." Along with winning the Pride of Iowa Championship, the Raiderettes saw a school record being broke. Alyssa Johnson place first in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 16.11 which broken her sister, Ashton Johnson's, record of 16.36. Sara Winemiller became three time POI Champion in the shot put with a throw of 36-01.5 and Hannah Jackson took second with a personal best throw of 34-3. Bailey Anderson brought home gold in the 100, 200 and 400 and anchored the winning 4x400 team of Ryann Martin, Caylie Hickman and Samantha Stewart. Keirston Klommhaus placed second behind Anderson in the open 200 and anchored the winning 4x200 along with Samantha Stewart, Sadie Frost and Caylie Hickman as well as winning the 4x100 with Megan Warin, Sadie Frost and Alyssa Johnson. She anchored the second place Sprint Medley Relay team of Alyssa Johnson, Caylie Hickman and Sadie Frost as well.

Qualifying for State for the Raiderettes were Bailey Anderson in the 400 meter dash with a run of 1:02.71; Alyssa Johnson in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 16.73; the shuttle hurdle team of Samantha Stewart, Jaycee Knight, Megan Warin and Alyssa Johnson with a time of 1:10.93; the 4x200 team of Ryann Martin, Sadie Frost, Caylie Hickman and Keirston Klommhaus with a time of 1:52.79; the 4x400 team of Keirston Klommhaus, Ryann Martin, Samantha Stewart and Bailey Anderson with a time of 4:18.53; the Sprint Medley team of Alyssa Johnson, Caylie Hickman, Keirston Klommhaus and Bailey Anderson with a time of 1:58.32; MaKenzie Shields in the high jump with a height of five feet cleared and Sara Winemiller in the shot put after throwing for 35-11.25.
