Two compete at solo state meet
Two MAC drill team members performed November 3 at the Iowa State Drill Team Solo Competition in Newton.
April SHIELDS and Ashton QUICK competed in the class 1 division against 187 other dancers in their division. April
SHIELDS, daughter of Dave and Kim SHIELDS of Mount Ayr, performed a lyrical solo to the song, "I Won't Give Up." Ashton
QUICK, daughter of Bruce and Kris
QUICK of Tingley, performed a jazz solo to the song, "LadyKiller." QUICK received a Superior Medalist Winner award
during the awards ceremony at the end of the evening.
