Pledge ceremony starts MAC elementary year
Classes opened in the three Ringgold county area school districts Tuesday morning for the new school year. In the
Mount Ayr Community school district, the year began with a flag ceremony outside the elementary school to begin the
day Tuesday. Students gathered at the flag pole to recite the Pledge of Allegiance and the Character Counts pledge
before heading back to the classrooms to begin the day. Elementary principal Scott FROHLICH led the
students in the pledge.
