RAIDERS AT STATE TOURNAMENT
Both the Mount Ayr Raiders and the Diagonal Maroons met again on the court of the Iowa Boys High School Basketball
Tournament at Veteran's Auditorium in Des Moines. Mount Ayr turned the tables on Diagonal who had beaten them
during the season, coming out on top 17-15. The Raider team members are, back row, left to right: Jim SMITH,
Holden FUGATE, Forrest RUSK, Elmo ROE, Pat GREENROD, and Coach Harry KNAPP. Front row, left to right: John McFARLAND,
Lowell DENHART, John KITSELMAN, Wilford NAIRN, and Roy PAYNE.
NOTE: After defeating The Diagonal Maroons at state tournament, the Raiders lost to Muscatine in the second-round.
