EAST WASHINGTON - Rex SICKELS was re-elected school director at Walnut Valley for the coming year.

Mrs. Margaret SOBOTKA was the teacher at Walnut Valley school for the school year of 1954-55.Walnut Valley School closed in 1954 and was used for storage. It is on its original site located two miles
north of Mount Ayr on Highway 169, two miles west on a gravel road. The building sustained tornado damage.
