RURAL SCHOOLS OPEN MONDAY, AUGUST 27th

Teachers Engaged for Nearly
All Rural Schools of the County.

Approximately 57 rural schools of Ringgold county will open next Monday, August 27 [1945]. Twelve districts are without teachers at the present time, but it is expected that several of the vacancies will be filled by the opening day of school.

There will be a meeting Friday morning, August 24, at nine o'clock at the court house assembly room for all teachers who are teaching for the first time in Ringgold county, and for those who have not taught for several years. A meeting for all rural teachers will be held Saturday, August 25, at one-thirty o'clock in the assembly room. Supplies will be given out by Miss Vera F. DICKENS, county superintendent of schools, and plans for the year will be discussed.

If VJ-Day should be August 25, the meeting for beginning teachers will be held at nine o'clock Saturday morning, September 1. If VJ-Day should be August 25, the meeting for all teachers will be held at one-thirty o'clock, Saturday, September 1.
