HACKBERRY SCHOOL No. 2
Tingley Township
Tingley Township was divided into nine school districts.
No. 2, known as the Ames School, was located 2 miles north of the town of Tingley.
The Hackberry School was closed by 1950 when the rural school system in Iowa was discontinued.

Hackberry school was moved from its original location to a farm where it is used as a farm building. It is
located 1/2 mile east of Tingley, north one mile, east 1 mile, then north 1/4 of a mile.
