Ellston Alumni Banquet

The annual Ellston Alumni Banquet was held May 24, 1986, at the Sun Valley Lake Clubhouse with 105 members and guests present.

LeRoy WOOD, president, presided over the meeting with Lefty GEIST serving as treasurer and Donna SHIELDS as secretary. Honored graduates included the 25 year graduates from the Class of 1961 with one member, Roger NURNBERG of Creston being present, and the 50 year graduates from the Class of 1936 with all nine living classmates being present. They included Mrs. Lois (CREVELING) BROWN of Winner, S.D.; Mrs. Valiere (CREVELING) STEWART of Ellston; Delma (LONG) GRIMM, Ogden, Utah; Dorothy (WALTERS) BRAMMER, Longmont, Colorado; Mack VANATTA, Longmont, Colorado; Doris (GRAY) VANCE, St. Maries, Idaho; Lucile (BUELL) JACKSON, Ellston; Lois (WRIGHT) WALLER, Ida Grove; and Vernon LYONS, Creston.

There were four 1986 graduates from the Ellston area, but due to other commitments, they were unable to attend.

The graduate coming the furthest distance was Doris VANCE of St. Maries, Idaho, and the oldest graduate was Dr. Harley WILHELM of Ames, from the Class of 1919. This was also the 67th year he had attended the banquet. Officers from this year were re-elected for next year's banquet

After the business meeting, the evening was spent visiting and dancing to the DJ Sound with Scott GILES.
