Four new teachers join Diagonal faculty

Four new faces greeted students in the Diagonal Community school district when students started the new year recently.

Jackie ALLEN is the new middle school math and English teacher, Curtis LAMBSON is the new middle school and high school English and journalism teacher. Patrick OSWALD is the new instrumental music instructor, and Katie Van ARKEL is the new fourth grade teacher.

ALLEN has degrees from the University of Texas in Dallas and the College of Saint Mary in Omaha, NE. She last taught middle school at Saint Patrick's School in Missouri Valley.

LAMBSON has a degree from Western New Mexico University in Silver City, NM. He taught school in Idaho before moving here for the job.

OSWALD has a degree from South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD. She has taught at Smouse Elementery at Des Moines, the University of Iowa and South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD.

Van ARKEL is a new graduate from Central College in Pella. Her hometown is Grinnell.
