The Grand Valley F.T.A. chapter engaged in many worthwhile activities this year. At each of its monthly meetings the members investigated vraious aspects of the teaching profession -- the problems as well as the rewards. In addition to these discussions, the members expressed their own fields of interests in creer talks. These programs helped the F.T.A. members to develop their interests and to decide of teaching was what they wanted to do.

The chapter visited the campus of the State University of Iowa for Prospective Teacher's Day. They received answers about the prospect of college as well as about the teaching profession.

The members attended their district's annual meeting where Vicki VIRDEN retired as parliamentarian and Joyce STARK was installed as treasurer.

Throughout the year the members continued to learn more about the education of handicapped and retarded children.

The parents of the F.T.A. members and the freshmen and their parents who were interested in F.T.A. were invited to attend the regular January meeting. This was designed to give them an idea of the F.T.A. goals and activities. The hearty response to this meeting exemplified the success of our F.T.A. chapter.
