The 1961-62 season began with an exciting four point win over Diagonal and ended with an exciting two point loss to undefeated A.C.L.
(Clio-Lineville). On the final game agains A.C.L. the boys showed the same "never die attitude" that they have shown
all year. A.C.L. is the only team to have beaten Grand Valley twice or more in one season. The 1961-62 season ended with a
12 win - 7 loss record. The record itself is impressive because of the many games that the team played without regular
members of the squard, due to injuries, sickness and other difficulties. Also our competition was twice as competitive as the year
before due to our revised schedule. Only two teams on our schedule have a smaller enrollment than Grand Valley. Our season
was high-lighted by double victories over arch-rivals Diagonal and Clearfield.
