Triggs receives top judging honors
A Mount Ayr graduate recently earned several individual and team awards in a national livestock judging competition. Johnathan Triggs and the Iowa State University livestock judging team competed against 25 other college teams in the 2016 American Royal Interollegiate Judging Contest in Kansas City, MO.As an individual, Triggs placed eighth overall in swine, ninth in sheep and goats, tied for seventh in cattle, and received high individual overall hoors. His name will now appear at the American Royal among those of all past winners. The team from Iowa State finished fifth in cattle, fifth in sheep and goats, and as the fifth high team overall. Later this week the 2015-2016 Iowa State team will finish their judging careers by traveling to Louisville, KY to compete in the North American International Livestock Exposition.
