SWCD presents annual awards
The Ringgold Soil and Water Conservation District held their annunal awards luncheon on Tuesday, October 25 at the Saint Joseph's Catholic Church with the lunch catered by Grandma
Jan's (Jan Ford).Those present were commissioners Kirk Smith, chairman; Brenda Adams, vice chair; Donna Greenland and spouse, Kevin; Beverly McGinni and spouse, Walt; Bill Daughton and spouse, Nancy; assistant commission Becky Taylor and her spouse, Alan, along with their daughter, Amber Schafer of Maryville MO; Iowa Department of Ag and Land Stewardship Jim Gillespie and field representative Kate (McGhee) Bussanmas; Natural Resources Conservation Service's acting assistant State Conservationist Matt Wiseman; special guests Rod and Debra Bastow and Ethan Pollock; and office staff Kayla Creek, District Conservationist, along with her husband Clay and daughter Amelia; Shannon Rusk, State Technician and her husband Josh; Jerry Parsons, District Employee and wife Tracey; and Adam Gottemoeller and wife Heather with sons Joseph and Henry. Rod and Debra Bastow were presented the District's Outstanding Cooperator Award; Alan and Becker Taylor and Amber Schafer were presented the East Fork of Grand River's Outstanding Cooperator Award. Becky Taylor, who retired in September, was presented an award for her years of service to the Department of Conservation and Water Quality by Jim Gillespie and Kate Bussanmas. Becky was also presented with a gift from the commissioners that had been made by Ethan Pollock.
