Stuck-Lindquist

The Methodist church in Mount Ayr was the setting Sunday afternoon, at three o'clock, for the wedding of Miss Annabelle STUCK, of Mount Ayr, and J. A. LINDQUIST, Jr., of Denver, Colo. The double-ring service vows were read by the Rev. George C. PENNINGTON, pastor of the church, in the presence of approximately one hundred and twenty-five guests.

The church was beautifully decorated with pink roses, white mock orange blossoms, hydrangea and white candles, which were lighted by Mary Ellen STUCK, sister of the bride, and Alan RICHARDSON.

Mrs. Jim JONES, of Kellerton, sang, "Because" and "Always" was sung by Dean STUCK. They were accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Arnold STRACKBEIN.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor-length gown of white slipper satin with an overskirt of chantilly lace and tulle. It was fashioned with a fitted bodice of net and long pointed sleeves, and her white waist-length veil fell from a crown of white lace. She carried a Colonial boquet of red roses and observe the tradition of wearing something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a penny in her shoe.

Virginia STUCK, of Grand River, attended as maid of honor and wore a floor-length strapless gown of pink taffeta with a net overskirt and headband to match.

Miss Erma BICKEL, as bridesmaid, wore a light blue floor-length organdy gown and headband to match.

K. T. LINDQUIST, brother of the groom served as best man and ushers were Clem MOHR and C. O. RHOADES.

Susie MURPHY served as flowergirl and carried a basket of tiny roses. She wore a floor-length gown of light blue taffeta, a duplicate of that of the candlelighter, Mary Ellen STUCK.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church dining parlors. The bride's table was decorated with a four-tier wedding cake, white roes, pink mock orange blossoms and candelabra. The bride and groom cut the cake in the traditional manner, after which the remainder was cut and served by Mrs. Arch MURPHY, with punch, nuts and mints. Mrs. Wayne RICHARDSON poured. Mrs. Raymond MINNICK, aunt of the bride, arranged the gifts, and Mrs. Paul EIGHME, aunt of the bride, was in charge of the guest book. Dining room hostesses were the Mesdames Floyd BEAMAN, Glenn LESAN, Robert IFUDSON, George IRVING and Owen CAMPBELL. During the reception soft piano music was played by Mrs. Charles CRAIG.

The newlyweds left following the reception for Colorado where they will spent their honeymoon in the mountains. They will be living in Denver, Colo.

Guests from a distance who attended the wedding were the Messrs. and Mesdames J.A. LINDQUIST, of Denver, Colo.; K. T. LINDQUIST, of Erie, Pa.; Ralph ROBERTS and Gladys, of Prairie City; the Misses Hazel HUMPHREY, of Denver, Colo.; Erma BICKEL, of Lincoln, Neb., and Suzie PHIPPS, of Maryville, Mo.

The Mesdames Robert SCHULTZ and twin daughters, Patty and Pamela, of Springfield, Ohio; Arnold STRACKBEIN, of Battle Creek; Charles CRAIG and sons, Charles and Terry, of Ames, and Arch MURPHY and daughters, Suzie and Janie, of Waverly, and Clem MOHR, of Denver, Colo.

The bride is the older daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett STUCK of Mount Ayr. She attended Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls for one year, and Colorado State Teachers College at Greeley for two years. She is majoring in elementary education.

The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. LINDQUIST, of Denver, Colo. He received his bachelor of Science degree June 5th from Colorado A. & M. at Fort Collins.
