June 28 marks the 40th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Elbert STRANGE of Mount Ayr. The couple was married June 28, 1947 in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dee LAMB. Rev. Harold REEL, Christian church pastor, officiated.

The couple lived in California for several years and have resided in Ringgold County since 1955, where Mrs. STRANGE has been employed in business offices and for many years STRANGE served as Ringgold County Sheriff. Both are retired.
