Sun Valley Lake home
burns to ground Wednesday
A home at Sun Valley Lake near Ellston burned to the ground in a fire Wednesday night. The home, owned by Linda and
Rick SEGO of Des Moines, completely burned to the ground. No one was home at the time of the blaze. An individual
drove by and saw the house on fire at approxiamtely 5 a.m. Wednesday morning and called 911. The Union township
fire department responded to the fire call, but the house was a total loss as it had already burned to the ground.
The fire is under investigation by the Ringgold county sheriff's department, Union township fire department and an
agent from the state fire marshal's office, according to Ringgold county sheriff Mike SOBOTKA.
