A group of people with ties to Ringgold county met at Mr. Ghatti's in McAllen, TX for their annual reunion. They were welcomed by a closed sign on the door because of cold weather and power shortages. Hiatt and Darlene RICE of Creston, who have hosted the event for several years, made a quick decision for all to go to Ann's Restaurant in San Juan. The owner was very nice and got them together in a room already set up. They got their orders in and had some time for visiting.

Those attending, along with Hiatt and Darlene, were Myron and Shirley INGRAM, John E. MEADOWS and Ron and Janis LOOMIS of Kellerton; Jerry and Debbie SOBOTKA of De Soto; Lloyd and Donella PARKER, Dave and Liz WILEY and Bessie AUSTIN of Diagonal; Leo and Jerri McDANIEL of Redding; Carmine JAMES, Pauline MURPHY, Harold BROWN, Darlene MORGAN, Lee and Shirley BRAND and Francis and Marilyn PRITCHETT of Mount Ayr;

Murial (Pee Wee) CREED and Lloyd and Kay DRAKE of Tingley; Ken and Phyllis ROBISON of Prescott; Pat KOONTZ of Prole; Quentin and Rita ANDERSON of Ellston; Marion and Sharon PRICE of Waukee; Bonnie BAKER of Clearfield, and Art and Carol HAYS of Council Bluffs.

Lloyd and Kay DRAKE will be the hosts for 2012 and have made arrangements for the reunion to be held at Ann's Restaurant in San Juan for the first Friday in February 2012 at 11 a.m. If any of you are from Ringgold county or have any connection with Ringgold or surrounding area, be sure and attend. It is good getting together with old friends and neighbors. Hope to see more of you next year.
