Crane moves big bin
Instead of Rich ELMER disassembling a grain bin south of Mount Ayr and moving it piece by piece to a new pad so the
bin did not interfere with building of a new home, a crane was brought in. A moving company moved the 30-foot diameter
bin that weighed five tons. At one point, the crane lifted the bin five feet up in the air to avoid a rock pile. The move was
completed without a hitch.
